Hi Everyone,

I got the vehicle damaged due to the snow. The car is currently located at auto body shop waiting for parts repair.

The insurance inspector sent me the following picture and I wonder if this is a mechanical damage. The dealer mentioned no mechanical damage was found therefore should not have any potential issue in the future driving experience. Just want to throw the pic out make sure my dealer knows what they are doing.

Yes, the headlight housing is cracked.

That part is definitely damaged, though it only looks like a component that secures the headlights to the rest of the car. Mechanically you should be fine, but you may want to replace that part anyway.
