How to Make a BMW 228i Look Like an M2 (Hate-Free Advice, Please!)
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for advice on how to make my 228i resemble an M2 as closely as possible. I’ve already got a body kit in mind that includes the front bumper, side skirts, and rear diffuser. I also plan to add spacers and upgrade the exhaust. What other exterior modifications should I consider to nail the M2 look? Specifically: Wheels: Should I get specific wheels or replicas to match the M2 style? Fender Flares: Do I need wider fenders for a more aggressive stance? Badges/Grilles: Should I replace the grilles or badges? If so, any tips for doing it tastefully? Other Details: Are there any small touches (mirrors, roof wraps, etc.) that would make a big difference? This project is purely for personal enjoyment, so I’d appreciate constructive advice. Thanks in advance! |

As someone who owned 3 cars in the lower-trim levels, and wasted tens of thousands of dollars retrofitting cosmetic or electrical features, this is a waste of money. You will 100% guaranteed to spend more money rather than selling your 228i and getting an M2 instead.
Please, do not do this. Do not repeat my mistakes. |

Hello Micheal, Thank you for your advice. Though not going the m2 way I will still purchase an aftermarket msport bumper to have a more aggressive front-end look
Thanks again! |
