Sensatec Driver Seat Left Boldster ......

I got a repair done about a year ago for three cracks on the left bolster. The job was well done but it's not aging well.

I got a quote of $300.00 from an automotive upholstery shop to rebuild the bolster with a very similar material.

Anybody has experience going that way? I have heated seats

In my area I have an upholstery shop I fully trust. Get references to a shop in your area and have them do the repair.

My recommendation is to get fabric made by the supplier to BMW's seat supplier.

Sounds like it's time for some M2 comp/M4 seats.

Agree with above though, find a good upholsterer and use stock materials.

I believe everything has a part # so you could always order it in....

Where can you find the fabric?

If you want an exact match get it from your local dealer or a dealer with discounted online parts sales. Put your car info in at realoem.com & find the seat cover part # you need. For example:
https://realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpar...diagId=52_3752

You could look for a used passenger's seat cover that will usually be in better condition: https://www.car-part.com/

Perhaps your local auto upholsterer has a more robust solution for the bolster material. Good luck!

You are wrong ....... a used seat cover is garbage for having been exposed to UVs for years and not worth paying the price.

Today, I reviewed materials at the upholstery shop and they will have the same fabric in a two week time frame.
