Yes, we do know. The answers are yes, rwd, and no convertible. The coupe will be built at San Luis Potosi plant in Mexico. There are other threads on this topic.

Yep, sadly 2er vert will be dead, and the Z4 and 8 coupe/vert are also likely to not receive a successor, the only convertible left in the lineup will eventually be the 4er.

Most likely, coupes are a dying breed, and convertibles sell even less so than the already low volume coupe body-style. The 2-series sold ~8,000 models, a 13% drop in YTD sales, and I would assume that the coupe and M2 take the majority of small sales figures over the convertible. The new CEO is prioritizing profits and EV's over everything else now, and is scaling the lineup back from slow sellers, (2er vet, 8er coupe/ver, Z4, X2, GT models, etc.) and isn't entertaining the idea of niche vehicles (M Wagons).

Yes, sadly for those of us who love to drop the top on sunny days, the convertible is a dying breed. I think BMW just see's the Z4 or the new 4 Series convertible which will come with the soft top as sufficient choices for convertible lovers.

Except the Z4 will be going away too after this generation. Pretty sure the only reason it was really developed was because of Toyota paid for partial or the full amount of cost of development.
