Accented mirror caps?
So this may already be a topic but search isn’t leading me to it.
I’ve always been a fan of a nice color theme on a car, However, I’m new to the bmw community and I haven’t seen any other m235 owners with mirror caps other than carbon fiber, Black, stock, or paint matched to the car. My question here is, is there some kind of unspoken rule to not have color accent mirror caps, my plan is to have mine painted Monte Carlo blue |

IMO I thought the sliver/gray mirror caps on my 2018 M240i estoril blue looked awful and completely threw off the flow.
I replaced my caps with carbon fiber ones off ebay last night ($115) and think it looks 10x better. I had considered wrapping my mirrors but I'm not good at doing that stuff myself and when I looked into having it done professionally the cost was going to be >= just buying these ebay caps. |

I like the contrast that the stock caps give especially with silver wheels. CF or matched painted looks good too, it's all a matter of personal taste. Go crazy if you want to, have some fun.

Carbon fibre replacements from AutoID (a UK manufacturer). I also didn't like the grey and quickly replaced the tops with these. They haven't yellowed etc. over 2 years (a common problem with some of the cheaper products). A lot cheaper than the BMW ones. AutoID offer bodywork colour-matching but at the time, Estoril Blue I had just been replaced by EB-II and I wasn't keen to risk the match being wrong. However, I think that black gloss or bodywork match look as good as CF. The avobe photo is in very bright sunlight (well, bright for the UK): 90% of the time and from a distance, they tend to look gloss black:

Awesome! My car is also Estoril so I’ll know they’ll look great.
