Removing rear interior panels

I hope everyone is doing well. A good German bier helps! This is what I drink:

https://holidaywinecellar.com/p-9157...xoCLswQAvD_BwE

I want to install some sound proofing in the rear side panels that are along side the rear set. Has anyone removed the these panels? If so, other than removing the rear seat cushion, what else is required?

It's part 1 in the link: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_9502

Thanks!

I've taken those off before.

If I recall correctly, you remove the seat cushion, then the side cushion below the seat belt and then from there you are able to get your hands underneath the panel and pull out. It is held in by pop clips.

This might be helpful! I was looking into removing the rear panels to install SmartTop.

Thanks to each of you! I think I can remove the panels using your information.
