M235i resonator delete- worth it?

Hi all,

I am considering going for an £80 resonator delete for my M235i. The whole exhaust system is currently stock. Is it worth it and do you think I would notice the sound difference much? Toying between this and a muffler delete but am concerned about drone..

Thank you

If its anything like the M240i... it's gonna make it substantially louder. Im not sure wht the 235s midpipe looks like though.

Garage List
What would be louder, resonator or muffler delete?

Did the delete and got a little more sound, but won't upset my neighbors in the morning. Chose to go that route vs changing the exhaust.

Did the resonator delete on my m235i barely any difference. You can hear a little more exhaust around 2k rpm. Probably just drone but the cabin is well insulated it doesn't bother me. Scale 1-10 ten being muffled delete resonator delete is probably a 2-3. Really not much change in sound. I ended up getting the m-performance muffler and then an electric exhaust cut out as well.

yeah its pretty different compared to the M240s. The m240 has a wide one and a long one in the middle. looks like the m235s just has the long one? From what i understood in the b58 forums that wide one was the real killer of sound.

All i know for sure is i went straight to mpe and was unimpressed with the sound. added a dinan midpipe and its friggin loud now.

For reference heres m240's:

Thanks for your replies. Sounds like the b58's benefit more from resonator deletes. Would like an MPE but they remain expensive and hard to get hold of used. I am concerned about how my neighbours will feel with the muffler delete lol. Those with the M performance exhaust, is it worth it? From a scale of 1-10 (ten being a muffler delete) how much louder is it over the stock exhaust? Thank you
