Hello all!

So I've had my 228i for about 6 months now. I cannot in any way figure out what this interior light brightness setting changes. I've looked all around the cabin as I mess with it and.... nothing. Or so it seems anyways. Does anyone know what this changes, or if I don't have a necessary package? My car has the Lights Package, option 563.

Thanks in advance for your time

Not really understanding what interior lights you are trying to adjust. Are you trying to make them brighter or dimmer?

The interior light setting is tied to the dimmer switch. That setting controls how bright it gets. When you adjust your dimmer you will notice not only your dash and gauge lights changing but you interior lighting as well. Use a coding app like BimmerCode to separate the dimmer and interior light settings.

I thought it was you tell the car how bright you are, vs. how clueless about all the bizarrely worded crap in the manual, sort of like a golf handicap

That "manual" is a real piece of work, isn't it.
