Fitment of a M Performance Steering Wheel III?

Will the M Performance Steering Wheel III Alcantara/ Leather that goes on the M2 fit on the M240I?

Go to BMW's website and click on shopping tools then accessories. Look for M performance accessories then click on steering wheels, enter your model and see what is available.

M2/M3/M4 steering wheels should all fit on the regular 2 series, they should all be the same. I know of at least one person on this forum who has the M3 alcantara wheel on his M235i.

I actually have the M2 steering wheel on my to-do list as well.

. Did not notice the following after I entered the vehicle model info:

FWIW, Turner Motorsport's online site says this steering wheel does not fit a M235i/M240i.

Also, I checked with Brian of Sun Motors BMW (have an eBay store) and his catalog says that it won't fit either.

I hope that someone has installed it without a problem, as this is one sweet steering wheel.

Officially, yes, probably because BMW doesn't want you installing M goodies on non-M car

But again, it should be a PnP swap.

I’ll also verify that it’s an easy swap. I have a picture or two on my build thread in my signature. Should take about 45 minutes to do everything.

Just FYI Dallas custom will do that - or whatever else you want - to your stock wheel in nicer materials for half the price.

Why wouldn't it? They sell it as compatible with the 2s.

I have one in my M235i. Fun toy but the electronics aren't all that useful. I use it for oil & water temperature primarily.
