Very slight sound when lifting clutch

Hi,

6 speed manual with factory lsd.

I get a very slight clunk when lifting the clutch while shifting. Normal?

It almost sounds like a "delay" of a part engaging.

Well there is a clutch delay valve, that could be causing something to move weird

Thanks for the reply.

Clutch delay? Normal for it to make a very slight engaging sound/feel?

It's built into the slave cylinder in the 2 series. I haven't noticed anything like what you're describing, maybe the throw out bearing is getting noisy?

If you feel it through the pedal and hear it from the clutch pedal assembly inside the cabin, it's very likely that the clutch pedal to pedal mount pivot point needs to be regreased, the two clutch pedal bushings that sit between the clutch pedal to pedal mount pivot point needs to be replaced, the clutch pivot push pin that attaches the clutch pedal to slave cylinder arm needs to be regreased, and/or the over/center clutch helper spring assembly needs regreasing.

Unfortunately checking and fixing these issues aren't particularly easy unless you're fairly good at working on cars in very confined spaces and contorted on your back.

I've installed the Ultimate Clutch Pedal which replaces the entire clutch pedal assembly so I know how the system works and have seen what's lubricated from the factory. Install took me well over 3 hours, but I can now remove/reinstall/adjust in 10 to 30 minutes.

The attached directions will give you an idea of the lubrication points and over/center spring assembly: http://www.ultimateclutchpedal.com/instructions/

The attached link shows the clutch pedal bushings (part #35006878303) and the over/center spring assembly in the clutch pedal assembly diagram:

Thank you for the replies.

I will definitely try and see if I can sort this out with the information provided. Thanks again!
