OP,
Not to pile on here but that tire is DOA. Please get it replaced directly and do not drive with it in that condition. The damage you show in the photo is fatal. Good luck.

Looks like pothole damage. I'd suggest you check the wheel as well, but it looks like you got very lucky with that having hit right at the spoke. You may have gotten away without a bent wheel. Had it been a foot further up the road, I'm guessing you'd be getting a new wheel as well.

That happened to a RFT on my MB. I was in a bind and had to drive and went a couple hundred miles before the next bump took it out. Then drove 20 miles on the RF and had a tow truck meet me. Unless you're in an emergency situation, get it replaced immediately. One really small pothole and it's gone.
