Carry on.
Bro, stay, it isn't that bad with more fun to come hopefully

I'll finally give my brief take that will probably piss off everyone.

HAM substantially came inside Max.
Max knew he was there.
Both gave each other room at first.
HAM came in too hot and braked first.
HAM left Max's view
Max though HAM conceded and turned in.
Max ALMOST got away with it.

At that speed I don't believe either driver intended to bang wheels or crash the other intentionally.

Honestly neither wouldn't want to be responsible for the death of the other!!! Nobody would want to live with that!!! Believe me, I know!!!

IMHO

First lap racing incident leaning toward HAM coming in too hot. Everybody jumps on my boy LEC for that.

Penalty? IDK

I'm eager to see what happens in Hungary.

I don't know what the fastest corner on the Hungaroring is but I bet that's where VER will accidentally touch HAM rear wheel.
Drift a little bit from the inside out, not quite following the racing line....
Too bad that there aren't any 300kph corners there....

Where do you think hip hop culture sells? I'm asking this seriously.

Eager here also but don't think Max will throw away his WDC chance this early.
In all reality the Sliverstone shunt should have sent both cars spinning into a huge pile of metal and carbon fiber. I'll say one thing, MB makes one hell of a tough car.

There is of course quite a bit of difference (about 3m room difference)
But you have to be able to open your eyes to see it....

That's where the aforementioned extensive intelligence and knowledge behind the wheel comes in.
Not the first time he has had drivers trying to dethrone him. Won't be the last.
I don't see HAM putting himself in that position.

We shall see.

I also don't see that because for VER to hit HAM rear tyre with his front tyre, HAM has to drive in front. Not gonna happen

MAybe, but I still think VER is going to dominate the hungary GP. All weekend.
So I think VER gets the pole, has a good start and HAM will not see him again till after the race.

Last race has shown that HAM now only can win by taking very high risks in overtaking VER.

Look at the difference in where he drives when overtaking LEC and when trying to overtake VER (resulting in crashing him)"

VErstappen - Hamilton

Leclerc - Hamilton:

So this completely shows that HAM could have been about 1,5m to the right when overtaking VER.
But he wasn't.
And why not? Isn't HAM the best and most consistent driver?
This is the proof that he came in way too hot. The FIA already said that HAM didn't keep a racing line towards the apex.
He was thàt desperate before his home audience. He knew that if he didn't put his attack here he wouldn't see VER again.
VER left enough room for HAM, but HAM needed to keep more speed than he could handle therefore he went wide, missed the apex and couldnt use the room that was left for hem like he could with LEC.

So indeed I don't think VER is going to take unnecessary risks. He doesn't need to. He's faster ATM.

This definitely could happen. It’ll be interesting to see how he rebounds mentally. He’s been around long enough and had some big crashes but not like this one was. That would rattle anyone.

I was disappointed that we didn’t get to see if the MB updates would’ve closed some of the gap or not with RB. Qualifying pace looked good but obviously the sprint didn’t as Max checked out. Would’ve liked to see it over the entire race. We’ll hopefully find out in Hungary.

Change of subject. I'm a bit worried that two upcoming classic GPs could be cancelled.
I'm talking about the Belgian GP (29th of August) and Dutch GP (5th of September). Both are obviously Max home advantage events.

First of all, the COVID situation in the Netherlands is looking real bad. The government decided to restart nightlife and infections cases have gone through the roof ever since. Although healthcare is still under control, NL is now performing by far worst of any country on the European COVID charts. New measures have now been put in place and large scale events are banned until at least`August 14th. The window between 14 August and September 5 is very small and I am quite pessimistic about it.
As the Belgian GP is visited by vast numbers of Dutch fans this might also be a problem.

///M Power-Belgium what's your take on the situation concerning the Belgian GP?

But they estimate that medio august everyone will be vaccinated in the Netherlands. And I expect the same for Belgium, I think they're even a little bit ahead from the Netherlands regarding vaccination.
So most people will be vaccinated for at least 2 weeks when the Belgian GP starts.

Also these are outside events. I don't know if they're going to differentiate between that. (I guess nobody knows that; looking even 1 month ahead is impossible in these crazy times..)

What has Bottas done as HAM’s “lapdog” as you say?

Apparently nothing….well only finished higher than MAX in WDC standings in 2017, 2019 and 2020

What does that make MAX?
