What should my IAT's be roughly with the VRSF 6.5" Competition Intercooler?

Hey guys so my VRSF 6.5" competition intercooler comes in on Tuesday and i'm wondering what my IAT's should be around with it? I'm on my stock one right now and they are at around 150-162 (i live in AZ lol) which is why i got an upgraded one.

Let me know thank you so much!!

Hard to say definitely- but bet on 8-15 above ambient, depending on temperature.

I'm FBO with VRSF 6.5" on Bootmod3 Stage 2(93) in Houston, TX. Sitting in traffic at 100F, IAT up to 120-125F. 40-70mph little pull, and IAT nearly down to ambient. I will say E85 blends seem to be more resilient to the high heat. Only way you'll get significantly cooler is going WMI on top of it all.

How much above ambient? X to 25* over ambient when cruising?

less than 10* over ambient. The IC does its job as good as any. Trick in high heat is to do a little part throttle pull, shift early, and get the fresh cool air in there for a go. Even with how good it works, WMI is needed to pull out full potential of any car with how hot and humid it gets here in these months.

Yeah, I'll run some logs within the next couple weeks before the M235i gets switched to "Storage" Insurance status for 3 months... Baby almost here, so we'll be only using the wifey's 2021 X1 for that first little bit. yay...
