Performance benefit from using 93/94 octane over 91 with Stock M235i?

From reading previous threads I know not to use 89, and that 91 is the recommended. I have also read snippets that 93/94 will improve performance, but is there any hard evidence of the DME actually changing timing with higher octane fuels for a stock motor?

The only way to tell is by using a logging software to check - but I doubt it matters until you start tuning.
