bootmod3 stage 2+ e30 log help
can any log experts look at my log and verify what might be going on with my car? I get really good logs with stage 2 e30 tune, but with stage 2+, car does not feel good. I never get drivetrain malfunction in the regular stage 2+ e30 tune, but with the multimap stage 2+ tune, I get drivetrain malfunction when going WOT in 5th or 6th gear. the code is usually for boost pressure too high. I have changed my chargepipe tmap to 3.5 bar, but still does not make a difference. I have also smoke test on my car, but no boost leaks. I am unsure what the issue is at this point and need help figuring it out.
Stage 2+ log, car did not feel good AT ALL at the beginning of the WOT pull https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=60d7...0b430f294b44ae this one feels better, but still not perfect https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=60d7...729b405560ff7b multimap stage 2+ https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=60d7...729b405560ff4e stage 2 E30 log, car feels good and fast! https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=60d7...0b430eaaa75de2 https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=60d6...0b4359781e3fa7 something about the stage 2+, my car does not like... but stage 2 e30, works just fine. Car is 6MT, FBO, running Dorch stage 2 HPFP, and E50 fuel. The Entire reason I bought the expensive Dorch Stage 2 HPFP was to run stage 2+ e30 tune, but my car does not like it... trying to figure out why. Last edited by motivman; 06-27-2021 at 07:10 AM.. |

your clutch is slipping in first log in 3rd gear.. what clutch do you have?
that would also explain why WOT in 5th and 6th is even worse with slip

For the best opinion on datalogs, i recommend contacting PTF directly.

E50 is very very very very high for the map without the ethanol override being used for it in the liveadjust.
My car on Dorch stage 1 will hiccup high RPM with slight HPFP stumbles (4-500psi) from targeted 25xx if I have even 1% more than 30% E and good shell/mobil 93. I am up to 40% now on the ethanol override running 28xx psi and it absolute hauls and runs perfectly with whatever flexfuel magic PTF did. This tune is very spicy with throttle angle/opening which is both unfriendly to clutch AND fueling issues. Mine would open 100% even before my gas pedal was there.. This is not a map to lug your car on low RPM and WOT. I had some significant overboost when I first flashed the car and mashed the gas before it really adapted, sometimes as high as 25-26psi initially which caused mid pull throttle closures and timing weirdness which made it feel like garbage. I can't see the logs for some reason so can't weigh in on the clutch issue but if you can't recreate it on regular stage2 E30 I doubt it is an issue (but remember I can't see the log so who knows). Fix your fueling with liveadjust and see if it helps. Then reset adaptations and drive for a bit to let the car relearn what is going on with the proper fueling scalars. Log with proper ethanol settings for the map
