2016+ MOST bus questions (F13 M6 Bang & Olufsen retrofit)

Hey Guys,

Got an issue, does anyone know the locations of all MOST BUS devices (fibre optic), the path this cabling takes and where the distribution block (where all the devices connect together) is?

i need to add the Bang and olufsen amp from f13 M6 to the loop to replace the sub par "harmon kardon" we have in our cars.

I don't have any MOST cabling running to my boot as i do not have a COMBOX but an ATM module instead. I Know the head unit and instrument cluster communicate over MOST but if anyone knows where the distribution block is to add another device that would be extremely helpful.

Cheers from Australia!

I figured it out, as there are no MOST devices on a 2016+ in the boot there is no distribution block like there used to be on the e-series. I used a Y cable adapter added in behind the head unit and got the Bang and olufsen system working today. Speakers went in last Saturday. So good to have it finished

Ooooh, interesting!

More info please.

Was connecting the most cable the only thing you had to do?
Any programming?

Any articlenumbers on needed parts?

It's definitely quite involved heres a rough guide i had the 674 Harmon kardon before which is garbage as well documented on here. You basically need to purchase the whole kit off someone

1. Wire power off battery terminal add inline 50 amp fuse and use ground point of existing amp
2. Look up wiring diagrams online to map the output to the new amp into the 42 pin harness off the previous HK amp
3. Look up wiring diagrams to map the ASD outputs from ASD module into the "peripheral" connector on the B&O amp
4. The B&O amp requires power input into the "peripheral" connector as well as the larger main 50 amp fused power supply.
5. Add most using MOST Y-style cable adapter (i did this behind the head unit)
6. ESYS VO code removing 674 adding 6F2.
7. Profit

Note: i didn't purchase the fancy aluminium grills or the pop up speaker as these just dont fit the 2 series, i may buy the pop up dash speaker at a later date with a custom fabricated bit of trim. I also didn't wire in the lighting for the speaker as its pointless, may do it in the future if i can be bothered haha

I wrote a guide on 1addicts when i had my 135i which i converted from Base stereo to MOST audio system which has more detail on adding most devices

Hey i've been following along your individual audio retrofit i'm doing on my E92 after messing with custom audio and amps, oddly enough I found out about putting bang and olufsen speakers in the e92 and I stumbled along this.. i'm interested I wonder if I can put this amp in the E92 since it basically communicates via most like the individual one right?

Can you elaborate on the connectors? I see the 20 pin that the individual amp has and the two power pins, but what is that new connector under the 20 pin?

My individual amp is an early one that doesn't even have the separate power pins so i've been trying to crimp the circular connectors in the 20 pin onto the 10 gauge power wires.. does the bang and olufsen amp need to be powered through three of the connectors?

Wiring the speaker connections probably the same thing as individual right? I wonder what the impedances of the B&O speakers are compared to individual

Hey I came back to this post now with my F36 440, so I'm upgrading from a MOST bus HK amp to a bowers and wilkins amp (when I get a hold of one)

I was wondering what that extra peripheral connector was, so that's to connect to the ASD? Interesting.

You might look at an Audiotech-Fischer amp. They are plug and play.
