I saw the post that I have quoted but I don't know if all 4 wheels are the same or staggered. I was looking at doing either 18x8.5et35 and 18x9.5et38 or 19x8.5et35 and 19x9.5et44. Your help would be great appreciate. Thanks
Howdy!

I did 18x8's with OEM tires. Rears fit perfectly, fronts there is a teeny tiny bit of stretch. When the tires wear, I am likely going square set up.

The offsets on my wheels (make by Replika; style R163) are +35 offset. There is no rubbing at all. Rears sit pretty much flush with the fender. Fronts are pushed a little farther out than stock, but still tucked. Makes the gap look smaller without having to lower the car.

The "machined" part of this wheel is really painted and it's a "smoked" tint. The black parts are matte.

I just went to a wheel shop & had the "machined" part of the wheel actually machined & then, had the rim clear coated. Looks WAY better.

Also I love the look of your car btw
No rubbing under any circumstances. I'm still on stock suspension though which is why. If lowered then there'd be rubbing front and back. Front could be solved with some camber or rolling front fender. Back could be solved with a 255 tire instead of 265s.

Yes, got my wheels from OEMConcept. They were pretty quick getting back to me last year. Surprised they haven't reached out to you yet. Thanks for the compliment btw

What tire size would you recomend for a 18x8 +45? I would like a meaty tire.

235/40 if doing a square setup with 18x8et45. Might be able to swing a 245/35 but I'd err on the side of caution until you can test it out.

Thanks for the detailed explanation! That's why I'm not
Convinced with the black machine faced either and want to see what they look like after the work you did. I want mine to look more like the original 437m but the silver part is too light.
Thanks!

I'd also like to see what your machined face looks like after the actual machining. Thinking about getting mine stripped and repainted as the fronts look like the clear coat is eating away.

Hey Joe,

There is a Show N Shine contest this weekend in CT - I am really going to be detailing my car tomorrow (Sat 5/20). I will take pics of the machined wheels.

Unfortunately, I have no close ups of the smoked finish, I will try & find the best shots I do have.

I will post the machined wheels - and lemme tell ya right now, you will NOT regret it. The shop I went to did an incredible job - super fine machining, clear-coated the entire wheel. The flares I get when the vehicle is parked are awesome. I wish I could see the wheels in motion.

They look more like the real M split-spoke wheel & the machining beats the painted silver look, hands down. Blew me away for sure.

Original finish

You can see how much darker they are in this shot.

Tomorrow when I am at the show, I will take pics of the car, full view.

Hi guys... great looking cars in this thread with the 437M wheels.

I've placed my order for my M240. Should be arriving sometime in July and I'm searching for wheels.

I've seen the Alutec Drive wheels in 18x8 form and I like them. My plan is to do a square setup with 245/35 PSS.

OEM replied back to my inquiry regarding the 18x8.5 et?? (they didn't tell me the offset). I'm hoping someone may know the offset of their 18x8.5 wheel and if a 245/35 PSS square setup will work on an xdrive stock suspension. I'm not planning on lowering the car and roads in Western PA are better suited for an 18" wheel (although I love the 19" wheels in this thread...just can't take the risk here).

Thanks,
Scott

edit... et35 and I just placed my order for 18x8.5 et35

FYI - The 18x8.5et35 will not work with a 245/35 in the front. It works with Alutecs because they're 18x8et43.

Thanks XutvJet After many many PM's with Anthony... I'm going with 235's and et39 (they will mill 4mm off). Hoping I made the right decision. Both the Alutec and OEM's 437m's look great.

I have sent 2 DM's and posted on their page and haven't received any response. How did you receive a response already. I have been trying to get an inquiry for 2 months now and no luck. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated

OEMconcept Anthony responded (and answered about 10 different questions) very quickly. Hoping he sees this shoutout to him.

My order won't be shipping to mid month... looking forward to them.

Wish you luck.

I just realized that you posted a visitors message as opposed to sending us a PM. Check your inbox, I sent you over all the info for your set of 437M wheels!

Hey quick question, I see you mentioned you got the R163. When I search that I see wheels that are a darker grey but here they look a lot lighter. Is it that they come in different shades or is this the result of your machining? I was looking for the shiny silver look, not a fan or darker wheels.

These look nice but I'm wondering if it's the sunshine making it look brighter. Also, how much for the 18" ones? Do you have something in 18x8? My tires are 225/45/R18.

The OEMConcept ones are great and are shiny from the factory. It's apparently real machining and not painted like (my understanind) the DAI ones are just painted. I know they're really machined because I have under paint rust spots forming on my machined areas because I had these wheels on during winter here in Germany. I didn't know that Germany used large salt for the roads and the under paint rust spots are from salt chipping the clear coat allowing moisture to get under the clear coat. I need to have my front wheels refinished when I move back to the US in August so I can get them back to new. Note to all: Not recommended for winter driving >.<
