2 Years of Ownership with the 2 Series Active Tourer

Hey Guys,

So my friend recently passed 2 years of ownership of his BMW 2 series active tourer (218d M sport).

I made a video on it as I felt people could benefit from his experience and learn from some of the issues that AT has had...

Thanks for posting.

To open the hatch using your foot you need to use a kick motion in and out and not a side to side swipe. There are 2 parallel sensors running the length of the bumper that your foot needs to to pass across.

I found that the auto hatch opening ONLY works when the car is LOCKED!
Makes sense really as that is when you are approaching loaded up with shopping.

I've found the auto hatch opening to work both when the car is locked and when it is not - and this is on both my Active Tourer and my wife's Gran Tourer. It takes a while to get the hang of what the car expects - and also you must have the car key in your pocket for it to work.

Well, I never knew about the boot opening! Hope it is standard - I will go out and try mine now. Thanks for posting.
