Where has your 2 Series taken you?
The idea of this thread is to collect peoples' favorite photos of their 2 Series in interesting and unique locations. I realize the primary focus of this forum is the car itself, but to me one of the best things about owning such an enjoyable car is being able to drive out and find something that maybe you would otherwise never have seen. It's also great to see 2er fans from all over the world showing off their local vistas.
So: interesting architecture, natural landmarks, city skylines, road trip destinations and discoveries... let's see 'em! An abandoned pub/venue in Bertram, TX found on a meandering Sunday afternoon drive. |

So a few months back i decided to pack my studio apartments worth of belongings into my 2 series and moved from Riverside, CA to Portland, OR. I drove for 10 hours the first day and decided to pull off and rest for the night. I woke up the next morning at around 5AM feeling restless and decided to get up and keep on driving. About 30 minutes into the drive i round a corner and see one of the most awesome things i've ever seen in my life. Mt. Shasta completely covered in snow, clouds, and light from the morning sunrise. Unfortunately i didn't get very good pictures as i was driving and didn't exactly have a place to pull off and get good shots. But here's what i got:

Well, my girl has taken me across the U.S., and soon to its furthest corners (short of Alaska & Hawaii).
Some shots of where we were: Seattle (from across the sound) Griots in Tacoma - unique in that Griots only has one storefront. Puget Sound, near where we lived in Steilacoom

Pro tip: if you take 14 to the Bridge of the Gods to Hood River, OR and think it might be nice to take Old Hwy 30 back to Portland, do not do this on a weekend afternoon. You will not enjoy the 15mph crawl behind campers and Camrys, and are prone to stopping randomly to admire the scenery. |

Running-in our new M235i on a trip form the UK to the Swiss Alps. Photo at around 1500 ft above the Rhone Valley SE of Lake Geneva, with another 1000ft to climb.

Appalachian Mountains in Highlands, NC. Cabin relaxation time. The drive there and back was stellar from Columbia.

Decided to burn some PTO hours and drive to the coast. No destination in mind; ended up wandering around Fort Stevens, a Civil War-era military site between Seaside and Astoria, OR. Huge space to explore; parking and all the porta-potties you could dream of for $5. Though the fort dates to the 1800s, most of the remaining batteries and buildings are newer -- there were lots of points of interest that were merely a sign and a few bits of rubble. |

My parents came to visit Texas this past weekend and we explored Austin and Waco. Couldn't find a good spot to park with a view of the capital building, but got a few nice shots at sunset at the Baylor Bears' stadium.
Hmm I'm noticing that people using imagur to host pics come out a lot clearer, maybe I need to try that out. |
