Anybody willing to generate a USAA code for me? My account is no longer eligible

I've had an account for years, under my father who was a vet.
Apparently he didnt have insurance, or no longer has it (he passed 7 years ago) so they are telling me I can't get my code.

I've already bought my car and my BMW dealer just wants a code to plug in.

PM me if you can help me out plz.

What code are you looking for exactly? Do you have a USAA account? If your father was a vet you can create an account, you just need his DD-214.

I have a usaa account and my dad is a vet, he’s just no longer with us.
Because he’s no longer on the insurance they are saying I can’t generate a code.

I'm still not quite sure what code you need? A dealership should only require proof of insurance when buying a car. If you have a USAA account just call them up and add the new vehicle to your insurance policy. They can Fax or email the insurance cards to you and the dealer. Should take all of 10 min

Even if your father passed away you are still eligible for an account.

He is trying to get the USAA code for the discount, I imagine. You can generate the code through the USAA website. In order to do so, you need a login and password. If you don't have access to the website, then you need to obtain your fathers' DD-214, which will then allow you access.

If you don't have the form handy, you can reach out to the National Archives in St. Louis, assuming he left the military a long time ago. The best way to do this is to use the eVetRecs system to create your request. By going this route, you can get it electronically in just a few minutes.

To obtain it - you will need the following info to enter into the eVetRecs system:
  • Veteranís complete name used while in service.
Service number or Social security number.
    Branch of service.
    Dates of service.
Date and place of birth (especially if the service number is not known).
Recommended information (not required, but may help expedite the process): Purpose for request (applying for benefits, preparing to retire, researching personal military history), deadline, additional forms or information required.

Nice, thanks for the info. I'm a vet and have used this before to get my medals that I lost--it just only takes several months.

Yep - I was able to get everything via online in just a matter of a few minutes. If you have a copy of your DD-214 which should show all of your commendations, ribbons, and medals, then you can just go to this website to order anything if you don't want to wait for free ones via the government.

I admit this is somewhat of a troll but you could join the military yourself and earn that code on your own without needing to rely on someone else's service and commitment. I realize USAA provides the ability to extend membership but why ask people you don't know to bend the rules for you?

not sure if I've forgotten something, but when I bought mine I think all they needed was my proof of insurance card, then they just called USAA to verify eligibility.

You should be able to generate your own code. I'm not aware of how you can have "your own account" with USAA, under your father. Either you are on his policy or you have a policy of your own. There's no middle ground that I know of where you have an "account" under someone else.

My father was in the airforce and as such I was able to get USAA insurance of my own when I started driving 30 years ago and have had them ever since. I was able to just go online and generate the code.

When you say you have "an account" do you mean a USAA bank account or credit card, or are you talking an insurance policy?
