Those links are all about a different method of accessing the coding section of the car. I am asking about the BimmerCode App for the iPhone, of is it the same thing with a different UI?

In expert mode it works the same exact way you just need to navigate through categories to find the options listed on the cheat sheet. It's all pretty self explanatory.

You asked about Cheat Sheets and I linked to two sources. Whether you you E-sys or BimmerCode, you are changing the same FDL's.

Update to the app was released today. Have not had a chance to look and see if it allows for any more options for our f22's.

Got my OBD connector yesterday. Downloaded the app today. Super simple to use and am very pleased.

-Angel eyes to 100% (seem super bright, may need to turn down)
-5 blinks for the turn signal
-Comfort access mirror folding
-Door LEDs on in reverse
-Removed disclaimer
-Rolls royce sound
-Digital speedo

All worked perfectly. Only issue was turning on the current gear indicator (6MT). All it did was turn off the up/down shift indicator, and nowhere does it tell you the current gear you're in. No big deal though, I just switched it back.

Could someone please snap a pic of the digital speedo please? I'm curious how it looks, is it displayed large enough to be useful?

A fun one I found in the M3/M4 coding forum: turn the turn signal noise off.

Go into Instrument Cluster (KOMBI L7_MID), then go into Expert Mode and search for "blinker", should be the top one like in the picture. Click on "Custom Value ..." and then click Done. The 00 00 00 00 mutes the blinker noise.

Takes a few rides in the car to get used to not having the noise

Can someone explain how to connect the adaptor to the car. Explain it like you're telling a five year old, and please provide a link to each piece needed to connect adaptor to car. Thx.

Thanks a bunch for posting that, I appreciate it!

That is a pretty small speedo, would be nice if there was a way to make it bigger.

You can put a magnifying glass taped to the cluster

Does anyone know how to change the ASD to the m3/m4? I normally run with ASD off but on rainy days and windows up...this could be fun ? :

I was able to get into expert mode and change the engine and model but nothing happens ?:

Do I need to modify anything else?

I have a 17 m240i if that's any help

I think after 2016... the change doesn't work anymore... you had to change this in the past

It just plugs in..... open the flap and plug it in.... looks a similar shape to the old printer port on a computer

I don't think there's a flap or "door" to open, at least on mine anyway. My port is not covered. In any case, correct, just plug it in and you're good to go.

I was fooling around with this yesterday (mine is a '16) and I couldn't get it to change either. Even went through expert mode and everything that should be checked is checked (as far as I know), including the model range, engine etc.

Thx. Forgive my ignorance, but where is this flap exactly? I mean port.

Here's a short youtube link - it's for the Series 2 Active Tourer, but should be identical location or close. I couldn't find an exact vid for the F22. Hope this helps.
