Just ordered cable to enable some coding. Hope to meet some of you on the road sometime. I live about 6km from the Old Pacific Hwy and if you don't know that piece of tarmac I'd suggest you take a drive and try it out. Love the way the car drives but there's a lot of things I think BMW could have done better. ie. Speed Cameras, Red light cameras and speed limit of road you're on in the Sat Nav.
My biggest niggle is no temperature gauge - on a sports car! Pretty dumb of BMW.
Totally agree with you "ddmyte" on the temp gauge. But you can bring it up in the hidden menu from your trip metre.
I take delivery on my M235i in July so would def like to meet up on the old pacific hwy, its a great road for a cruise although the cops are aware of it haha.

Delivery day tomorrow!

So excited. Lucky me got to get a sneak peak at the car before delivery. My guy at Bob Jane, who put the wheels on, dropped by so I could have a play.

Will share more photos tomorrow when I pick it up...

Long drives aren't recommended as a "break in" during the break in period it's best not to hold in 1 gear or 1 rev range for an extended period of time

Hey folks,

After 3 months and 4 days I finally picked up the new car yesterday. I am overwhelmed. It is everything I expected and more.

My main uncertainty was with the HK sound system, but it's great. Could probably be a bit louder but hey, who wants to be deaf by 40???

And all the M Perf gear looks amazing! Side blades were broken out of the box so I'm going back next week to have them fitted.

Here are some pictures I took last night & this morning...

Hey 'den525' cheers mate for your input. I was aware of what you mentioned so I wont be taking the highway and will be varying my speed and drive style. My two options of thought are take the coast roads or take the off ramps on the Hume highway and go through all the little towns, that are bypassed. I wont be in a hurry but rather enjoy the time driving.

Hi guys

Just dropping in to say hi. I previously had a E82 135i and just took delivery of my M235i yesterday. It's a very different beast to the E82 but I have to say I'm in love with it already.

I am looking to put a few mods (mainly cosmetic first), so once the parts start coming in I'll probably start a build thread.

P.S. This forum sure is quiet compared to the Aussie E82 forum!!

Car spec:
Mineral Grey
Sunroof
Visibility Package
Connected Services Package
M Performance grills

Mods on order:
RW Carbon CF mirror caps
RW Carbon CF spoiler
M Performance front splitter
Exotics Tuning CF diffuser
M Performance exhaust with carbon tips
ER chargepipe

I am looking to enjoy the car "stock" for a little while, but some performance mods are definitely on the cards as well.

Mods to come (maybe in a few months):
JB4
19" wheels
ER downpipe

Cheers

Thanks, good to see another familiar name... hopefully this board will get more action as more people get into a 2er.

No way I'm going for the leather protection, but the tinting sounds decent... Anyone have experience with this? She spoke a lot about door sills damaging easily, other companies not providing workmanship guarantee etc.. Not that I buy into all of that, but $850 for all windows (Sans front of course)

What have you guys done? Or are you doing?
Tint sounds a bit steep. I paid $359.00 including sunroof

Finally have my M235i

Picked it up late last week (21 May ). Traded my 328i sport line (2013). Can't believe the difference in the two. The 2 series is epic to drive. The 328 was no slouch but the M235i is in a whole other league. The ride is better, the handling and steering is way better, the throttle response, while still new and not "run in" is amazing, absolutely no lag that I can discern. As I said, I can't believe how two cars can be so different yet both are excellent - very happy with the. M235i.
