fabspeed cat 8 days later

8 days ago I installed the Fabspeed sport cat and there were no hiccups. I drove up to Monterey for car week and yesterday on start up the little cel did not turn off.

Code p0420 volume inefficiency threshold code
so I'm not sure what to do next bc Fabspeed cars arent supposed to throw codes- esp after 8 days.

I'm loving the sounds and performance but the code has really thrown me off. any suggestions why the code might have been thrown?

I’d say check for a leak at the turbo side v band clamp. I have the sport cat too and it hasn’t given me any issues.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the link and the advice. The shop reset the code, it remained off for the week, and then it made a return. Ill probably send them an email next week. heres hoping my engine doesnt explode at buttonwillow this weekend:
