Here in northern NJ all 2 series are still quite rare. I drive 30 miles roundtrip to the office every day, as well as plenty of other driving, and on average I have not seen more than one each month. Maybe that explains the availability of substantial dealer discounts here versus other places, although the dealers don't seem to be overstocked. Most dealers seem to now be running with about 3 to 5 units in stock, with special orders being built pretty quickly after order placement.

I saw one 2 series in 700 miles and about 14 hours of driving in two days all around the los Angeles and Orange county areas while out there (mostly highway driving). As far south/north as Laguna Nigel to Valencia, as far west/east as Chatsworth and Anaheim Hills.....and that's not including the drive to/from Phoenix where I came from.
Clearly there are going to be small pockets where you're more likely to see them (like Scottsdale where I'm at) but even here I've only seen maybe 3-4 in the last 6 months? |

I've seen the black one. There's also a white M235i downtown - may be the one you see at UTC. |

I've seen 2 228i's being driven by 50-60 something middle aged women, one by a hipster looking dude, and 2 m235i's by male. i guess i have a talent for spotting middle aged female 228 drivers....

I see more Ferraris on a daily basis than 2 series in my area of SD. True story. There's 1 AW 228 with a load of M appearance stuff I see consistently. That's about it.

Stop by Crevier BMW in Santa Ana today. They had 12 2ers in inventory split between coups and verts. 2 months ago they had one in inventory. So dealers are getting more inventory this year.

Curious. I haven't seen a single 2 series in France or Switzerland, outside the dealers premises.

Hilton Head South Carolina has more BMWs per mile than anywhere I've ever been. Nearly everyone seems to have one or two. 1 Series are very common here.
I own one of the three 2 Series I know of in the whole region. That's it. Still very rare, even here in BMW country.

I've seen 2 or 3 in the last 6 weeks. They're definitely popping up a bit more.

I've still only seen two or three others on the road. I will say though, that I agree in that every time I see someone driving a 1-series, it is a girl driving it.

The big problem we don't see many in New Zealand is they devalue too fast just like M's and 6 & 7 series. They all seem to loose 50% in a year.

I'm pretty sure most on this forum would love to be able to pick up a 1 year old //M or or 2er or 6 series at 50% off MSRP...

Have a 2015 M235i EBII, and live in a high rise in downtown SD.
My building now has a white 228 and have spotted a white M235i also in this garage. However still outnumbered by Bentleys in my building- seems that there are hundreds of them! Last week sat at a light in downtown next to a young woman driving a black M235i. Tried to get her attention to greet her, but she was too busy texting! Or maybe it's that I am a 50 something guy trying to get her attention. |

I have yet to see a single two series in Charlotte since I bought mine last June. I know they are here because the dealer has had at least 50 of them since they came out prob more. There are about half a dozen or more on the lot now including M235is and Verts!
