Does anyone make a larger turbo that bolts directly onto the stock turbo manifold?

My 235 is my DD, the Pureturbos upgrade is out of the question currently. Is there a manufacturer that has a turbo capable of pushing 20-30 psi that bolts onto the stock turbo manifold? Maybe the OEM B58 turbo?

20-30psi seems excessive for a DD but Dinan makes a bigger turbo for the N55

Seems they only make around 400whp on 17psi with the stock turbo, my goal is around 500whp, and it seems the only way to get near that is to push around 20-25psi. Would like the extra 5 pounds for racing applications. Do you know what the Dinan snail is capable of making?

Hmm, I doubt the Dinan one is what you need then. It's the stock turbo bored out I believe.

Pure stage 2 Turbo is what you're after.

The turbo/manifold are one piece.. That thing is good for 600whp ranges with the right fueling

Yes - and I'd be careful of the Dinan one. Think they're rebuilding and upgrading stock turbos in China or some such nonsense.

Does anyone know the turnaround time from when Pureturbo receives your turbo until they ship it back? I might be able to get a loaner car for a few weeks.

What are you planning to do about fueling?

By a faster car and more powerful stock BMW if you want a reliable 400whp+. I'd look at the M2 Competition or M4. You're in for a lot of expenses if you have hopes of pushing of an N55 (or N54 for that matter) into the 500whp range. In the end, it will likely be cheaper to buy a used M4 and put a very basic tune or piggyback on it.

Good points but also debatable. How much more will those cars cost than what the OP presently has? Then add a tune. If the OP has Xdrive that's another plus. If not I would maybe consider.

Forget the stock manifold that is one of the main things holding back N55 motored cars along with the stock turbo. However Active Autowerkes and VTT turbos will be having a single turbo kit out soon with options that will meet your goals hopefully by the end of this year I am told. It will still be cheaper than buying an M4 or a M2 competiion and even as fast or faster than some tuned Ms.
