Lease turn in with Michelin PSS

Do you need to turn the car in with that exact tire? If not what tire is equivalent? Any non run flat tire with the same speed rating?

Thanks!

Well technically it has to be a tire approved by BMW, which generally means OEM spec, size and speed rating inclusive. Sometimes they change OEM tires or use two different brands and you can choose one or the other. The tires also have to have 4/32 tread left, but again this is up to the dealer... some may charge you and some don't even really check.

My last car had runflats, I bought some used ones and had them mounted for much cheaper than a full set.

I'm sorry but I have to bust out the rounding police ... 4/32.... I'd go with 1/8

It just is vague with non RFT because there are many choices in the M235i size.

As long as the tires are the same size, have enough tread left, and match the speed rating you should be totally fine.

I just turned my last car in with worn out run flats that had sidewall damage and the dealer just took the car no questions asked since it was the end of the quarter and they wanted to hit the quota. They actually assessed the car with my snow tires and aftermarket rims and were about to overlook it until I brought up that I still had the OEM wheels. That's certainly the exception though and not the rule.
