Tired of the Front License Plate Side Mount

Hi,

I've been using the US Mill Works front license plate on my tow hook for 2 years and it's been great - no sensor issues after adjusting it a hundred times.

I'm tired of that look and want to center the license plate. Has anyone tried CARBONIO plate mount?

A while ago, I got a PM to have it test fitted on my car. Couldn't make it to their shop so I've missed out my chance

I read your thread and it's very detailed, thank you.

did you encounter any issues in the long run? can you put a plate cover on it as well?

No issues with it thus far! I noticed a bit of rust on one of the clamp pieces when I recently removed it, but that's to be expected given it's painted metal. It's hidden behind the plate itself, so I can't see it on a daily basis and therefore don't really mind.

I have a Weathertech plate cover mounted on mine that is fairly thick and heavy. No issues.

I've been driving with the Carbonio for about 3 months. No issues. Great solution IMO.

US Mill Works vs. Carbonio

After many years of using the US Mill Works tow hook, I have finally decided to center my plate back in the middle and I've gone with the Carbonio plate.

Used it for a month now, and it is amazing. Their store is located in Toronto, ON and they also gave me a good price for purchasing in-store. Being nit-picky, my plate is slightly slanted downwards after being mounted on the frame (most likely because the plate + cover makes it heavy)

Advice for those who are using the US Mill Works tow hook - use WD40 on the threads before installing the mount. Removing the mount was

See pictures on how I installed the US Mill Works tow hook to avoid the sensors.

Anti-seize paste would make more sense.
