active protection for pedestrians
Just did a Vehicle Data Chassis Lookup and it states my M235i will have "active protection for pedestrians"
Does anyone know what this is and what it specifically does. I wasn't told about it when I ordered my car or even aware the 2 series had it. Thanks in advance!

the bonnet has "jacks" that lift up the bonnet so that people are pushed up away from hitting the windscreen full on. Also the raised bonnet gives some space for the bonnet to collapse under the person.
