CLOSED: BimmerTech PnP Amp Group Buy

Hi guys, my handle tells it all...have the h-k option in a base convertible without navi or tech option. No equalizer or logic, either. System is fair, but needs some "balls" for music. By the way, the system can play wav files up to 24/192. Audi and M-B systems do not. Flash drives work great. I am in if their is still room, I have emailed bimmer-tech after speaking with Patryck.

Can this unit actually be used on a H/K system? I've been reading that the headunit in the H/K equipped 2-series is the same as the HiFi unit.

I personally spoke with Patryck, he told me "yes" it will work fine with the 2series H/K upgrade, but not in the 3series or higher

For non 1/2 series folks, orders were shipped out last Saturday. Someone on E90post already received their order! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...2&postcount=53

I spoke to Nelson yesterday and unfortunately for us 1/2 series folks, the status still remains the same -- still waiting for custom brackets and expected shipment by end of this week. Fingers crossed cause I'm in that bucket too.

Just ordered mine, and I can confirm that it should work with the HK System.

Can't wait to pair this amp up with my Bavsound Ghost Subwoofers.

If someone with the HK system who performs this upgrade could post in here with their impressions, I would really appreciate it.

I debated doing mine but ultimately chickened out on the group buy. If I hear it's worlds better I may just pick one up.

One thing for sure, the OEM HK amp is 30watts RMS across the drivers and the Audiotec Fischer Amp is 55watts RMS across the drivers. Mine should be shipped out at the end of the month, and I'm not sure how many others have HK systems, but I will post something once I get the amp installed and tweaked.

Awesome. I would also be interested to know how tweaking works (setting EQ, etc.)

Two questions:
1 ) Is the group buy still on? (Shame on me for not paying attention to this thread earlier).
2 ) Am I correct in assuming that this will kill the damn ASD without needing to go through a separate coding system setup (i.e.: it comes with a pre-load software set that will do that for the installer)
3 ) Would the setup work in an M235 with the factory hk system already in place?

Would greatly appreciate a PM with pricing if it's still on and questions 2 & 3 go through with a "Yes".

2. Incorrect. You will have to code the ASD. If You wanted us to do it is an extra service fee that we will require remote coding.
