230i trunk spoiler

Just purchased a 2017 230ix in Jet black and would like to add a stock looking spoiler to the trunk lid. Any suggestions as to vendor, new/used, and would an auto car wash be out of the question after install? Thanks

Mods: please delete, I purchased one from a forum member

I got a carbon fiber one on Amazon for pretty cheap, you can probably get the same one or a gloss black one if you want, pretty easy to install but if your car came with a small trunk lip already, get the 3M adhesive remover to take off the residue, really saved me and my hands.

I didn't come with one, blank canvass. I see there seems to be 2 different spoilers, one being smaller, the other being larger...the M Perf.Curious if you have been through a auto car wash and if so was did you use for adhesive? Thanks

Yikes, I avoid auto car washes like the Covid ("the plague" is so 2000 and late).

A high quality double-sided tape like 3M will hold the spoiler on just fine, that's how the OEM ones are mounted.

If you ever remove it, use Goo Gone or Goof Off to remove the adhesive residue.

Believe me I'm a hand wash guy myself but it is my son's car, has to be kept outside as our garages are full, and we live in the northeast.Plus, it was used and previously taken through as evident in the clearcoat spiders. Also, there are no hand wash places close by so it comes down to necessity really.
