M2 CS-style Carbon Hood
I have a new M2 CS-style carbon hood purchased from Aliexpress, where they're priced anywhere from 2k-3k including shipping. The seal between the top and bottom of the hood has already been reinforced, and the underside has been painted in LBB at Santa Monica BMW body shop partner Howard Brown & Sons. Fitment, as described by the body shop is: "It will fit decently; It won't be perfect but we will get it close enough." The carbon surface has some waviness around the power dome. If you're planning to keep the hood raw carbon, I have a hard time noticing the imperfections and would say you're good to go. If you're wanting to paint it, you'd probably want to get the surface smoothed out, so I have an invoice for $600 of body-filler work which I'd be happy to share. Selling because I decided to go with an aluminum hood instead. Happy to answer any additional questions. Also greatly appreciated if you could PM me when you reply, that way I get email notifications. Last edited by dimitrireno; 01-10-2021 at 12:42 PM.. |

Wish I had measurements for you but unfortunately didn't take any before having the body shop remove the hood. All I have is the above photos and email from my body shop saying "It will fit decently; It won't be perfect but we will get it close enough.".
