If you have a '20-'21 M240 please share what does your splash shield looks like.

Hello all:
Looking underneath I noticed 2 square openings that look like access ports or ventilation windows in the underbelly splash shield. A bit concerned about water/elements getting inside. It looks like this part , ECS Part # ES#2720140. I found a more detailed p/n for a similar splash shield that includes covers for these ports, but not sure if I am missing them or if it is a wrong match for the model: https://shop.bmw.ca/a/BMW_2020_M240i...d/51_9564.html.

Can you please take a look and say or post a picture if you have similar openings and if they are closed by any covers?

F22 B58 M240i xDrive.

Go to www.realoem.com and enter the last 7 characters of your car's VIN. Hit enter and bookmark the page. Scroll down to vehicle trim to find the missing parts.

From what I can see on Real OEM the open one is for X drive and the closed one is for RWD.

Mine is closed as I have a convertible, at least that is what shows on your link when I configure it for vert vs. coupe. So my premise was wrong it is the vert vs. coupe.

I just looked as best I could under the car and it is closed.

I don't have an xDrive, just an RWD coupe, but I'm fairly certain mine is closed.

I have a manual rwd coupe and mine is open, exactly like the OPs pic in the first post.

I wouldn't be concerned with it being open. nothing is super sensitive to the elements down there.

Thank you, that's helpful to know.
Although I would argue that a lot of moisture and road reagent dust getting there over the years might eventually lead to some damage...
