Coding edc on m240i

So I'm pulling the trigger on some coilovers pretty soon. If I code out my edc would I still be able to use comfort, sport and sport + for throttle transmission and steering feel? Just not dampening
I've been looking everywhere thanks

pikcachu, do you think, or do you know, if coding out would leave the variable sport steering function intact?

It should, it's like the M2 where the suspension is not adaptive but everything else is the same, throttle, steering, modes etc.

Remove 2VF from FA/VO and then VO Code the DSC, KOMBI, ICM, and HU_NBT

I've also read that once I code it I can't let the dealer update anything? Is this true?

Well you might have to re-code it if they flash your car or alternative you can write the change to the FA so even if they flash the car it should flash with the updated FA and keep the disabled adaptive suspension

Thread revival, I did the coding but looked at the F80 post and they say you have to unplug the EDC module in the trunk. Where is it and what does it look like?

I just did it today actually and it will allow you to use all functions if you code it out. Keep in mind depending on how low you go you may feel a little more rear body roll, then expected.

Do you mind posting up the steps on how to code it out? And if we really have to unplug the EDC in the trunk?

How to VO code

Connect => Read FA => Activate FA => Read SVT (VCM) => Right-Click on ECU you want to code i.e. HU_NBT (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

Step by step VO code guide sample for TPMS decoding https://www.2addicts.com/forums/atta...9&d=1454548372

Yo my bad bro I never actually get on this thing but the link that the other guy applied is definitely the way to go. To be honest I had a local shop do mine's.

Old thread, I know

Can the code be easily revered?

"Well you might have to re-code it if they flash your car or alternative you can write the change to the FA so even if they flash the car it should flash with the updated FA and keep the disabled adaptive suspension"

Is this a simple thing to do? I honestly have know idea.

To be clear on this subject: I can order coilovers that are not designed for EDC ?

It sounds like it may be more desirable to not get EDC hardware and use coding with suspension not designed for EDC?

Bilstein PSS10 come in EDC and non EDC.
