No coding necessary on 1 or 2 series H&K.

The 1 and 2 Series H&K is only analog and 3 series upwards is digital over most.

Therefore the match 7 amp is working plug and play on 1 and 2 series H&K.

I bought the USB input card for the Audiotec-Fischer MATCH 7UP BMW amp! Btw, I bought the amp and USB card from Crutchfield. I had to run a 10 foot (later replaced with a 15 foot) long USB cable from the console to the amp. The hard part was getting the cable run under the carpet that's between the back of the console and the rear seat! PITA! Then I had to code the amp to accept the USB input as the primary input and buy a lightning to USB A connector adapter. The sound is fantastic.

Hey guys, just got the 7DSP for my 2020 X3 and was hoping I could bounce a few things off you.

1 - Can the plastic adapter for the power actually revive a 6 or 8 gauge power/ground? Cause it sure doesn't look like it.

2 - I have the 7dsp and an external sub amp (50 amp / 650w). Can I run a 100a fused 4 awg line to a block 4-5' away that splits it into two 8 awg lines for the positive? The 8 awg runs will be under 2' after they're split. Do I need a fused split or just a common 4 awg in / dual 8 awg out?

3 - can the ground from both subs be a 2' run of 8 awg run or does is have to be 4 awg because the positive is a 4 awg until it's spilt? The ground is a bare metal bolt almost directly beside the amps and would be simple to bolt both 8 awg ground leads to.

Thanks for your help!!!

Yes sir it does. I have the S676 RAM system that has the amp that can't be swapped out. It needs to be split off of with the specific Y bundle from Match.

Hello, I am considering getting one of these devices. I would want to have 3 different sound setups (one aligned for driver, another for front passenger, and one when car is full of people). Can anyone confirm that this device affords this capability?

It is possible, but you will need to connect with your PC via USB to switch setups. Alternatively, you can install an Audiotec Fischer URC in the cabin to change between your presets (sold separately).

Where did you find the .apfx files? Looking to see if someone has an optimized one for stock speakers?

Update: I received an email from Doug Dobson of MSC. That’s the company that’s either importing these amps or providing US support. The bracket issue was my stupidity for not pulling everything out of the box! The bracket was there and the installation was straightforward. Doug also provided me with a picture of the AF connector modification. Basically, the AF main connector has 2 extra vertical bars inside the connector. I sharpened an old flat blade screwdriver and shaved off the extra plastic. The connector and the factory connector went together without a hitch. BUT, the AF V4 software would not recognize the amp. Yes, I installed the 64 bit driver (laptop runs Windows 10 version 1909, a 64 bit version). And yes, the green LED on the amp was illuminated. The laptop chimed when I either plugged the AF usb cable into the computer or removed from the computer. This tells me the computer (Windows) recognized they amp. However, whenever I used the AF software it always show “disconnected” at the top. I tried rebooting, etc. Nothing worked. I am awaiting an email from Doug. I will keep this post up to date.

Update: it works! I worked with Doug Dobson of MSC America. The problem was that while the driver (64 bit ACO) was loaded but it wasn’t installed. I went to the events list and clicked on “driver loaded.” This installed the driver!! I then loaded a few of the .apfx files from various posters on this forum. Settled on one .apfx file and mod’d. The software is amazing, very simple to use. So, I’m a happy camper!?👍

I replied to MarkUSVT via PM. Basically, my advice is to:
- load the AF tuning software on a laptop
- buy a long USB cable to connect the tuning port to the laptop
- set up the computer in the passenger seat
- start playing music that you like to listen to
- start tuning.

Oh, and watch the tuning video on the AF website.
