Under mirror dirt/stain

Hey all;

In the quest of keepin a black car clean, I observed that most of the car stays pretty clean, but there are always dirt or staining that drips down from the side mirrors and leave the whole door panel disgusting.

Anyone found a way to prevent / avoid this ?
It would allow me to wash less frequently.

I mostly park it with mirrors folded (auto-fold when locked with comfort access)

Rinseless wash is your friend for that type of situation. Should be able to clean it up in a matter of minutes without washing the entire car. I've also noticed that the mirrors will hold water if they are folded in. After washing, I'll blow them out pretty good with a leaf blower, and then I will fold them in and out a couple times. That generally takes care of the majority of the water spots you'll get from it dripping down the door.

Metro side kick blaster after each wash to dry. I use the master blaster but it's more expensive.

each time you fold the mirrors they will drain out and leave that streak. I think the only hope is to not fold them.

This has been true for BMWs since at least early 2000's. Annoying indeed. What helps is having hard/paste wax on, then the streaking doesn't leave residue. For a quick fix any 'detailer' or liquid wax or polymer could help.
