😬 I've had the exact opposite of this experience. However I did buy as a CPO so who knows how it was taken care of previously. I bought my 2015 M235i XDrive with 62,000km on it in April 2018 and now have 80,000km. Since owning I have had the following work completed.
Front Control Arm Front Left Strut Front Right Strut Rear Output Shaft Seal Valve Gasket Passenger Door Pull & Lock Assembly Transfer Case Fully Replaced Let's just say I'm glad I got the extended warranty. BMW = Buy More Warranty |

I have a 2016 M235xi currently in the shop for two and a half weeks for what I thought was a simple rattle but has turned out to be issues with the suspension that they are taking forever to track down. So far as I am aware they have replaced strut mounts, the spring, and other parts they did not mention to me on the phone.
I'm pretty surprised a car with only 32k and 3years of time on this earth has such a simple but time consuming problem (and I assume expensive if I was out of warranty). This is the thing that always worried me about a fancier car like this - the engine/tranny are all fine, but some non-essential part goes and suddenly you're in trouble. $$ is one thing, but 2.5 weeks so far without my car really sucks! |
