Aftermarket wheels for the m235i ?
Anyone planning on producing some wheels for the m225i soon?
Would love a bigger wider set of wheels, probably 19s. Forgestar?! |

The lack of colour and wheel options on the F20/F21/F22 M sport and M135i/235i models is bizarre to say the least. The wheels on the M135i/235i aren't that nice at all so I was surprised when BMW didn't offer any other choice.
C'mon BMW; more choices please!!

not keen on those MB ones, fancy staying fairly classic and going down the concave route / competition alloy look.
especially having seen some of the wheels on USA e92 M3s etc, vorsteiners and forgestars etc etc. Just not sure on offsets and fitments |

Some nice 19' CSLs in bright silver would look awesome--I think those replicas can be found pretty easily.
Wonder what BMW charges for those? I bet it's an arm and leg--they were also on the 1M...

I've actually done a ton of wheel offset/width calculations already; i've been trying to find wheels that will fit and remain semi concave at the very least.
Since the M235i wheel offsets are SO high, its been tough. I actually found 1 combination of Apex EC-7 wheels that will fit with their Profile 2 face. I need to look up the width/offset combo, but I think 3mm needed to be shaved from the wheels to increase their offset...I'll look the specs up in a bit and share with everyone... OEM: F - 18x7.5 +45 R - 18x8.0 +52 APEX EX-7: F - 18x9.0 +31 --> shaved 3mm to --> +34 R - 18x9.5 +43 --> shaved 3mm to --> +46 EC-7 CLEARANCE: You will need to run an aggressive amount of front camber (-2.5 to -3 degrees). F - 8mm less inner clearance, 30mm more outer poke R - 13mm less inner clearance, 25mm more outer poke

Nice.
What spec are you basing your calculations on? Do you know the standard offsets of the m235i etc? Reckon I'll have to wait and follow rather than be a first. Can't afford to buy a set of wheels that don't fit lol. Really like the forgestars too! Mineral grey, 20mm lowered, forgestars. Done. |

Negative camber will recess the top portion of your wheel/tire into the wheel well more, alleviating any "poke" if there was too much. Adding negative camber is really for handling though, it increases your tires contact patch while cornering. The front and rear specs i gave for the apex wheels are specifically tailored to use up most fender well clearance (inside clearance and outside clearance). The amount of clearance you have depends on things like camber or spring diameter.

Sorry didn't put link in.
http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator When I put your specs in the results are different regarding amount it will stick in and out. Just wondering whether the difference came from the camber |

How about the other OEM 19" set (BMW LA wheel, M double spoke 624) shown on the 2nd M235i racing?
