Getting dirt/salt stains off Alpine White exterior
I’m new to the white car scene. I always had black BMWs and I thought that was hard to keep clean but now I’m finding white to be a pain in these New England winters. I just cleaned my car today in the 50 degree weather we had and I noticed there’s still small brown spots here and there (will take picture tomorrow in sunlight).
Any good recommendations for getting these out? I found if I scrub really hard they eventually come out, but after only a couple spots my hands got really tired. There has to be a better way or a good product maybe someone can recommend? Thanks! |

Feel the spots embedded on top of surface,
You have Iron-X type metal removers There is tar remover And Cleaner Wax and Wax One of these products with microfiber towel should work. Apply product as directed, let sit as directed and wash off without needing lots of pressure and scrubbing. As many applications as needed for success |

You will drive yourself nuts if you think you'll keep the White clean during the winter! Best thing to do is get the paint prepped and properly sealed and waxed etc., to protect it through the winter. If this wasn't done, take it to a place that's reputable and get it detailed, maybe even paint corrected, polished, sealed, and waxed! That's it... Then keep it clean as possible, if DIY use 2 bucket wash and waterless wash, etc. Come spring, you detail it again and clean it, possibly claybar it, polish, seal, wax, etc. Hahahaha
Good luck! |

I have the exact same color and this year I have the same brown spots on my car as well.
I have not tried the bug and tar remover. Last year I used an orbital buffer and a cleaner wax or compound to removed them. Then re-waxed and sealed the car. By the way, I had prepped the car before winter, wash, wax, seal last fall. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Meguiar-s...-2-Oz/16550255 |

Same here, first white car. Had it coated before winter and left it dirty for a weeks and was shocked out how hard it was to clean.
I wish I would've tried my Gtechniq W6 to see how big of a difference it would make.
