Took my 6MT m240 to my dealership to test drive a 6MT M2. Wow that thing is a beast. Felt like handling was much better (no surprise wider track, better rubber etc.). Engine and exhaust is mesmerizing! I can't wait to get behind the wheel of the new 2019 M2 competition.

LOVE* my m240i cab tho. Def makes me want Dinan Stage 1 tune.

There was a guy in an M2 with brand new ones at the track, the shoulders seemed to cup a lot less than PSS, they look stronger.

They are for sure, I'm running a few PSI lower to test for rollover and at 32psi I couldn't roll them over on a 3 hours tour the other day (were probably 35-36psi hot). I can no longer break loose in 1st gear either, it just hooks up and goes. With the PSS's I'd have a bit of spin in first when new, and was burning through 2nd by the end of their life cycle. I also had to go to the factory 245 rear size from the 255 due to availability. You wouldn't know the difference from driving the car to be honest, these things are sticky!

While I am sure the M2 and the new M2 Competition are a hoot to drive both on the track and off, there aren't many things more fun than driving a MT M235i / M240i cabriolet with the top down and the sun shining while running on a curvy and hilly country highway, unless maybe doing the same drive at night on a warm summer evening with a full moon. There is no doubt the coupe is lighter and stiffer and the AT or DCT faster at changing gears , but the analog feel of manually changing gears and running with the top down is special. Oh, and add the MP Exhaust to the mix, and it becomes a truly sublime experience for all of the senses. Last night was a full moon - think I'll go for a drive tonight.

Agreed!!! Love the drop top and rowing my own gears. I've got MPE in my m240 and it's great, not as aggressive or loud as M2, but sometimes that's a good thing!! I love how monstrous the M2 is, but sometimes I want a smooth quieter ride.

M2 I found the ride really stiff and steering too tight for a daily car. I did like the feel of the shorter gear ratios and the clutch felt like it was snappier.

Picked up the car a little over a week ago. Got all the changes I've queued up lurking on here for the last couple months waiting done and put a dent in the break in with a trip to the mountains. Loving the car, my first BMW.

Have installed:
- MP Pedals
- MP Carbon Fiber interior with M2 dash piece.
- Carbon mirror caps
- Painted reflectors

8 Hour Detail/Polish job, beautiful day. Finished with 8 minutes of rain to spoil the mood, lol... Either way, the car looks better than it did when I picked it up. Used Maguire's Pro line #21, can't say I've ever had a better application from any other product, Chem Guys included. Will be my 2x yearly product moving forward.

Obligatory pic of said detailed car, and rain...

Man I love your car, we both own MP Editions 1/50 (mine xdrive auto, yours rwd 6mt) we both take them to the track, we live at almost apposite sides of the country and are praticaly the same age. Great storys

My cousin lives in Calgary, I'll hit you up If I ever come to visit him !

Thanks brother man! That's crazy how close things are between the two of us, lol. I have seen a few of the other CDN 1/50 cars on here, which is cool. I'm sure more will surface around the forums since a lot are being traded in off-lease at this time, namely the '15MY cars.

If you don't already have it, you can email BMW corporate, and request a 1/50 verification and paperwork, which they'll mail out to you, or email. Not that it's worth anything, but sometimes it's nice to have these things when selling the car down the road. Also much better having only 50 of the already rare-ish m235's, than the 200 3 series and 200 4 series MP Edition models, they're everywhere in BC!! I put my letter at the front of my car journal/folder where I keep my receipts, build sheet, etc to hopefully one day pass along to someone else who will love it like I do. That day is still far away, lol

Your experience with the PS4S vs. stock PSS mirrors mine exactly. I couldn't have said it better myself. The new tires rock. Plain and simple.
