Tracking from Halifax
I was able to track my car from Germany to Halifax, but does anyone know how to track it from the port in Halifax to the dealer?
thanks |

I wasn't able to track mine from Halifax to Toronto but my 228i got unloaded on June 4th and arrived at the dealer around June 16th and I took delivery on the 19th. I probably could have picked it up a bit sooner but the 19th was good enough. If you're in Montreal I'd expect a couple days less.
Congrats on the new car and enjoy! |

At about the same time you were writing those lines. It looks simply fantastic in MG/CR with the additions:
front splitter (unpainted) rear diffuser (unpainted) MPE with Carbon tips Black front grills Painted reflectors Carbon/alcatra manual gearshift!!!! |

I asked a BMW Canada rep this very question in April. He said they currrently had no way to track the cars once on the train, and that it would take several million CAD$ to implement a system such as they have in the U.S.

I'm having difficulties to post pictures as the ones I take with my iPhone are too big. How can I change the size?
Mine did not travel by train, but by truck. There was a huge backlog and it seemed Montréal was close enough that trucking made sense. I was able to track or at least get a delivery date and confirmation it was delivered on the trucking company website. VIN # worked for tracking. Here is the trucking company website. https://www.lhf.com/ |

Now that I have a production number (6MT, MW/B, MPE, all the packages) and nothing to do for a couple of months while (@ least according to my dealer) BMW builds a bunch of AWD 2 series models leaving me to wait for my RWD, does BMW Canada offer a tracking service like BMW USA? I've called the US number in the tracking guide and when I enter my production number I get kicked over to a live person (unfortunately I was calling after hours). When I call BMW Canada, tracking isn't an option in their interactive phone system. Is there something different that I need to be doing?

Ask how quickly they can get the car on a train once it's off the ship.
They expedited mine after almost 3 weeks on the dock in Halifax. There's a shortage of trains because they're all hauling tanker cars of oil.
