Steering Thrust Piece Fixed My Steering Vibration

Hello everyone,

I was having some vibration under hard acceleration as well as clunking on the drivers side of my car when going over bumps at low speed, especially right handers.

I just figured i'd let everyone know as a reference because I haven't seen any reports of this fixing acceleration vibration. Just clunking when the wheel is turned and going over bumps.

It was very easy to do, just had to take the belly pan off and you need one special tool that can be had on eBay for like $10.

This is the kit i'm talking about

I had tried everything to get the acceleration vibration fixed. I couldn't find anything wrong with the car. I changed it because of the clunking. The vibration fix was just a happy side effect.

This fix is only for f2x/f3x cars that have the Thyssenkrupp adjustable steering rack that comes in the m235i, etc.

Hope this helps out someone else that might be having the same issue!
