My Flywheel and clutch is toast after 97.000 km. The flywheel has too much play and needs to be replaced. Is it any other Flywheel Than the oem with part number 21207638495 that Will fit 6mt?

You can try a OE single mass flywheel, I know they work.

What is the difference except comfort? Can they handle the same amount of power and are they cheaper since the oem dubbelmass is expensive af. I Found a m2 dubbelmass Flywheel for 600$ so it it fit it would be great.

From what I understand, the single mass (if you’re not going with light weight) are easier to drive, but unlike the dual mass, don’t adjust to wear. You’ll have to search a few reviews, but I’ve seen people enjoy them for the most part.

That price for a dual mass is very good though.

Yeah, the Prince was good. That is why i would hope that the m2 Flywheel fit the m235 but can't find any information about the difference and why it would not fit.

It should fit, same engine, but I think the trans in the M2 is stronger

Thouht so aswell but there are so Many different flywheels for the n55

m2 shares flywheel and clutch with the m3 and m4. different than the m235.

I'd just go with another OEM one. Your first one lasted 97000 KM. You'll know if fits perfectly and without issue.

He’ll need the clutch then. I know some people do the 550i clutch and and a single mass.

70K miles could be the result of hard driving, poor clutch skills, and/or extra torque. It's pretty much a given that when you replace the clutch in there cars, you have to/should replace the dual mass flywheel as it's not a serviceable part. My M235 has been making between 370-400wtq for the last 5 years and I drive pretty hard. I'm on the stock clutch and flywheel with 65K miles. When the clutch gives up, I'll stick with OEM stock because to get that sort out of mileage in a performance car, pushing quite a bit more torque than stock, and hard driving is pretty impressive.

If you want OEM feel, sound, and fitment, the stock part is the way to go. I've seen no evidence that someone has fit an M2 flywheel to the M235's slightly different 6MT. In theory, it should work, but BMW does really weird things when it comes to their parts interchangeability.

A single mass flywheel on these cars is loud as F too. BMW uses the dual mass, self adjusting flywheel on these transmissions as an NVH damper.
