Ceramic Brake pads for 240i?

Looking for a pad that is a lot cleaner than the stock pads on 19' 240i.

Just curious if anyone has tried anything else. No track use only canyon driving once in a while...

Do you have to have ceramics?

Stoptech Sport, Porterfield R4S and Hawk 5.0 are some really good sport pads. I wouldn't say they are a lot cleaner since dustless pads don't stop the car well(less brake torque).

Don't need ceramic (had on another car) just looking for a pad that doesn't dust up so quick for general driving. Which of these are known for being strickly good street pads??

All three are street pads so they are not like the Ferodo DS2500 which is a hybrid.

I would say the Hawk or the Porterfield have less dust than the Stoptech although the Stoptech dust is more of a gray/bronze dry powder but easily cleaned up. The OEM is more of a black and sticky type of dust.

Hawk 5.0 dust a lot less than stock and still have good stopping power and good reviews.

Powerstop Ceramic are your ticket.

Z23 Evolution Sport Pads are the ones. Basically zero dust, and definitely zero noise.

I just put a set of the Powerstop Track pads on my car, they are great, but noisy and TONS of acidic dust. Will swap them for track days when the time is right.

I use Akebono ceramics. Low dust. Rock Auto has them for a good price.

This is an excellent pad for purely street use. We install these all the time if the customer is looking for low noise low dust street pad. These can't take much heat, however.

Exactly, if tracking, wrong pad. If streeting and your looking for lower dust which I am, half the dust or less.

Harold, thanks for the tip and install. You have a great shop with a cool vibe. Love the Brembo pads. Stays much cleaner, very little dust and they are quiet and work very well.!!

Been running Akebono ceramics for about 30K miles. No dust, no noise, no complaints.

Those Power Stops sound like they make more noise than the Hawk DTC-70 full-on race pads that I run on the street and track. That's crazy for a low-dust street pad.
