UPGRADE YOUR iDRIVE Knob

Ever since upgrading to the android screen I was wondering if I should also upgrade the knob because I wasn't sure if the additional buttons would be compatible with the android system. After much debate I decided to find out here's the video on this topic, ENJOY!

I also changed iDrive controller. Looks so much better and the extra buttons are very useful. I'm also planing on adding the touch ECU for text input when searching for contacts.

Would be awesome if in the future the android could map the touch controller for swipe / zoom gestures.

You sure can, but it involves coding, it's not plug'n'play as just the controller.

I tried fitting the 7 button iDrive but it wasn't able to detect it.. is there any coding required to activate it? Running on CIC HU + Android Screen
