Dinan:
Are these discontinued? They are no longer on the dinancars website. I am picking up a pair and wanted to know what the status is...

Manufacturing defect in some of the bearings. Since we can not tell which will be good or bad on our end we have ceased shipping / removed the product from the website until a resolution can be worked out from the bearing manufacturer.

I'm sure rwalker will do a comparison once he has had a chance to install the revised plates. Invaluable resource to the camber plate community with how much effort/time he puts into the various systems for evaluation. |

We have a 440i coming in after Thanksgiving so we will do an evaluation with that car amongst other products. I would imagine the pertinent suspension components on that vehicle are virtually identical to the M240i much like the 435i was to the M235i. Interesting. I don't see anything about reusing the damper piston protection boot. For OEM dampers can we keep it when using the Dinan camber plates? Or will it rip? I live in an area where salt is used during winters and don't want to see if the salt will destroy the piston. My understanding was the piston is steel with a chrome coating rather than stainless steel.
