the little valve in the muffler

hey guys.

so going to take the plunge and get a muffler delete done tomorrow. In preparation I fitted my carbon diffuser so they will know how far to extend my standard tips out to. when doing this I noticed a little valve/control box passenger side of the muffler. I assume this is the flap control thing when we cold start?

Question is. what do i do with it when i do the delete? do i leave the control box thing plugged in and just cable tie it up or un plug it?

Dude if you delete the muffler then you have no worries.

Just unplug it when you remove the muffler and tie it off under the car. Wrap the terminal with the finger of a rubber glove.

It's going to be loud outside the car for sure.

And, it'll dronr inside at certain RPMs.

I got my muffler deleted a while ago. It's loud, but not obnoxiously loud and there is hardly any drone at all so don't worry. It's a great option to make the car sound way better

just picked up the car. 250$ for tips included.

first impressions is that im actually a little underwhelmed. i thought it would be much louder from the posts up on here. drone really isnt bad, i used to drive a few ricers back in the day and it doesnt seem hardly as bad.

Are you running the resonator and cat still?

But it DOES drone...

Great price. Alumized or stainless?

Curious to know also if you left the resonator on. Do you have any other mods? Is the tone at least a little deeper and more pops/burbles?

I've been considering doing this and leaving the rest of the exhaust stock, please take videos when you get a chance!

If by "this" you mean just unplug the valve connection there's not much difference over stock. Put the car in sport mode, let the car warm up and you can see how it sounds
