Thumbs up ENZO Performance Support

I want to again state how excellent the customer support is at ENZO Performance. I have their ECU flash tune and catless downpipe on my 2015 m235i. Had a technical question and called them. Enzo personally was put on the phone immediately, remembered my tune and my situation, and answered all my questions immediately. Great shop!

Howdy pikcachu; I am having a CEL and code P0303 issue, they advised me this is likely a spark plug issue.

I heard some had issues with M3 plugs.

Just get the NGK i recommended you. They work great for me and they are probably cheaper too.

Honestly, I can't say what exactly other than the fact that my tuner told me to stay away.

Just go for the NGK, they are proven to work for the N54 and N55 guys.

ok... that's weird though... the M2 uses same plugs as the M3 and the motor is quite similar to the N55

I've been using the s55 plugs with the Enzo tune for about 10k miles and haven't had any issues.

My tune didn't like the s55 plugs. Enzo went the NGK 4786 Plug route

quick question: do you have to remove the tune if you are going to bring you car to dealer for maintenance or other stuff?

You can't "remove" the tune.... you would have to flash the ecu back to stock and then again to get it back....

meaning you need to ship the ECU unless you have a shop that can flash

No need to consider removing as it's virtually undetectable (unless ECU is shipped back to BMW).

Well, my dealer had no problem getting the following code from my ECU:

"DME protection against tampering: program or data manipulation detected."

That of course does not specify I have an ECU flash tune, per se.

Keep in mind that if you take your car in for any sort of engine work, BMW mechanics will pull codes to figure out what the problem is. One of the codes they will see if you have had ANY ECU flash tune is the above. This is not a problem with Enzo specifically. It is inevitable if your ECU has been flashed by anybody.

That said, I'm very happy with my Enzo tune and catless downpipe as well as their level of support.

So what did they say this means?

I've had my car serviced multiple times with the Enzo flash at several dealerships and no one has ever said anything. Obviously if you're bringing it in for a warranty claim you should have it removed, as with any tune.

Yes, ideal to have it removed. Anybody flashing their ECU should be prepared to accept the consequences.

My point was that the dealer can easily detect the ECU has been accessed.

I'm very happy with Enzo Performance, no complaints.
