Wagner Intercooler
I am considering installing a Wagner Intercooler - The specs appear to provide much better cooling and with the summer coming I know how bad the car heat soaks.
Has anyone installed this intercooler and what were the results and were there any issues |

84 degrees and humid last night - All I can say is he M240I is a great car but BMW needs to get their act together and put in a better intercooler - To say the Car hates high DA is a understatement - Track conditions were good - car was really hooking with 60 ft in the low 1.8 which is the best this year - Normal ET in Good Air 11.9 to 12.2 with a trap about 114 = last night 12.4 to 12.5 with a trap of 111 - 112 - Looks like a wagner intercooler is on the mod list -

olehead...where are you located? I'm looking for my next upgrade and wasn't aware of the Wagner intercooler. By chance do you have a link to where I could purchase one?

I purchased the CSF intercooler which is almost identical to the Wagner.
I took my car to a fab shop that does all of my work and once the car was pulled apart we discovered that the intercooler is for a manual. In the installation photos you can see there is no transmission cooler and the intercooler slides right in. Well, I called CSF and they sent me a pic with some instructions saying to cut some plastic around the transmission cooler lines and use a few cable-ties. The fab shop is going to make a bracket or do whatever to make it work. I'm just throwing this out to you guys, so if you do go with an intercooler this is what you might encounter. What was supposed to be a two hour job is turning into more of a five hour job. Here are two pics of my car and one with the intercooler installed sent to me from CSF. Take a close look at how it's attached.

The one thing I miss about my JB4 is the gauges...especially the IAT. I can't get a real comparison as to the before and after because the outside temperature differences.
There's no big seat of the pants difference.
