Dorch Engineering Stage 2 HPFP

Hey guys, I'm back again with some news for you guys.

THIS IS NOT A SPONSORED POST.

I haven't posted in a while, but I've got news for you all.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a Dorch Stage 2 HPFP when it was released, and I've got some good news for you guys.

STAGE 2 PUMP CAN RUN FULL E85 WITH STOCK LPFP

Car is being tuned by Cary Jordan.

Stock Turbo, Stock motor, Stock LPFP, Stock EKPM.

Car holds strong up to 17psi, and we're not even done with revisions.

If you wanted to run full e85 as easy as possible, this is the route.

Go buy it, now.

Trust.

Verrrry interested to see what kind of power you can pull off. Been looking at those for a while now. Having an e85 source around the corner already has me on e20 tune so this will be very promising. I have MHD now and they have support for it. I am assuming their in app option is only good enough to get your car running decently with their tunes but nowhere near where you can be with a custom tune.

Anyway, looking forward to your updates for sure!

I don't have dyno numbers yet, but I would safely assume (Runs against other cars) currently with stock LPFP I'm in the low to mid 400's.

This is the quote from their website.

"This is a complete plug-and-play kit to support 650whp and also allow for full E85 up to 500whp (these numbers can vary quite a bit depending on tuning strategy, fuel type, etc.)"

I'll be honest, my goal here is to beat Stock Motor / Stock Turbo M235i WR which I believe is currently 455whp.

Just yesterday I ordered -

EKP Module - Evolution of Speed
Stage 2 LPFP - Spool Performance
NGK SILZKBR8F8S

I "MAY" need a meth kit, but we'll see.

Plan of attack is to get these installed, have Cary do a few more revisions before we throw it on a dyno to polish off the tune.

Are you staying with stock turbo for all of this? I only ask as I am pretty sure you could achieve said goal with a "stage 2" turbo upgrade. You got the fueling down, a turbo could really open up the power gates in my opinion.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll get to goal quickly. It's awesome how well these bmws take to mods.

Yes, staying stock turbo for now until I make sure a record is set, looking on the forums and I can’t find anyone who’s posted a dyno sheet above 455 on stock turbo.

Then once I get my new shop up and running I’ll probably go a little bit bigger haha.

So the stock m235i LPFP can support full E85 on the stock turbo with the Dorch stage 2 hpfp? Can anyone else confirm this? I was planning on running E50 at least but haven't been able to find many running E50-E85. I don't want to spend the money on a LPFP and EKP module if I do not need to with the stock turbo.

OP why did you decide to upgrade the LPFP? For an ethanol safe pump or did you need more fuel?

Our stock hpfps suck. I'd like to stay stock turbo until mine blows, (might replace with ps2...who knows) upgrading the hpfp...can I push as much as the stock turbo will go theoretically or? I know it's a big limiting factor.
