notchyheavy low speed steering

2017 m240ix, 2nd owner 32k. 7k since I've owned it. mostly commuting.

about a week ago I thought I noticed my low speed steering (comfort/eco) getting harder and if feels like its "falling over itself" or like I'm pulling through 8 inches of snow in my old fwd Accord. otherwise stable just drove 1900 miles across country and at highway speeds no issues. However it feels like it's getting worse.

I'm thinking it's the steering motor, any one have similar issues? Mode doesn't seem to matter. Tires have 5k. Tracks straight so the alignment seems good. Just had the oil changed a couple days earlier and the pressures were set.

Thoughts??
